Whelk Shell #2 is a minimal contemporary painting exploring the idea of looking through an object. It is inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s desert paintings. Part of a modern geometric minimalist series, Whelk Shell #2 uses the structure of the whelk shell as a contrast to the cobalt blue background. It would enhance an industrial minimalist decor scheme in a powerful statement.
