Buddies is a realistic figurative sketch study of a pair of twigs covered in lichen and moss. Found upon a spring woodland walk, the pairing of the found twigs adds symbolism of friendship. The use of a simple composition makes the painting quiet and peaceful, a moment of pause on the woodland trail.
