About

I have been a professional artist and designer for over thirteen years, creating work that sits at the intersection of memory, emotion, and material form. My practice explores psychological landscapes, abstract tensions, and sensory connection — from poetic object-based paintings to bold natural forms and fractured internal terrains.

I always had a pencil in hand as a child and initially wanted to be a costume designer after attending stage school. I went on to study fashion and textile design, after a break to have a family, my journey in fine art began with a bachelors degree and I went on to complete a Master of Art. I brings both conceptual depth and technical precision to my pieces. My work invites emotional reflection and visual joy — whether it’s a gift, a personal connection, or a collector’s first artwork.

I have had the privilege of exhibiting nationwide in the UK, having features in Living North magazine, a-n and look forward to taking part in exhibitions in the coming year.

I want to bring calm art into your home and communicate the beauty of place and nature through expressive art making and am committed to creating pieces that resonate with art lovers at every stage of their journey — as well as those curating with intention.

Artist’s Statement

I work across a range of surfaces and media to evoke an impression of a place through complex layering of colour to evoke atmosphere in contrast to figurative elements to focus and guide the imagination. As part of my practice I use psychogeographic principles to reflect a macro and micro glimpses of the atmosphere, surfaces, weather and textures of travelling through time on this earth. By bringing the viewer’s attention to the intangible elements of a place, I hope to evoke a feeling that they can get lost in to calmly reflect and rest their mind. I speak to memory, love and experience of the human as this is a connection to foster in these times. I use many techniques such as collage, craft, print and painting and drawing to bring these works to being. Mainly paint on canvas, but also using paper, stitch and technology to create moments for you.
